Our Team

Joe Wittman is Knez Homes' In-House Counsel. An east-side native, Joe is from Mentor, Ohio, yet spent considerable time in Columbus during undergrad at the Ohio State University and Cleveland during law school at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

During his time at Case Western, Joe obtained his law degree while working for multiple public defenders’ offices, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio in the civil litigation department, and the Kramer health law clinic where he represented clients in administrative and probate matters.

In his free time, Joe contributes to Financial Poise, a publication focused on retail investment and e-learning. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, trying new restaurants around Cleveland, and being a dedicated dog-dad to his Yorkshire Terrier. His interests include real estate and development, business combinations and associations, capital markets, and corporate governance issues. He has also worked for environmental non-profits and assists with corporate governance research.
Joe's key advice to first-time home builders is: "Ask questions!"
